WellSurgent
WellSurgent is a peer-operated North Carolina nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people with mental and substance use disorders. Through collaboration, education and training, WellSurgent provides consumers, family members, and community supports the tools to live healthy, reduce stigma, and strengthen communities.

Individual Refund Policy
Applies to single registrations (1–2 individuals).

Group Refund Policy
Applies to entities or organizations registering or paying on behalf of 3 or more participants.

Published Materials (Books, Manuals, etc.)
- Refund requests must be submitted at least 10 days before the training start date.
- Returned in satisfactory condition: 75% refund (≥10 days’ notice) or 50% refund (5–10 days’ notice).
- No refunds for materials requested < 5 days before the start date.
Processing fees on original transactions are non-refundable.

Cancellation/Refund Policy (2018–2021)
Individual training registration fees are refundable (less credit card processing fees) if written notice is provided 10 calendar days prior to the first scheduled training session. After this time, there are no refunds. Individuals must reach out to confirm their cancellation and refund request by email to both rbs@wellsurgent.com and ps@wellsurgent.com.
In instances of illness, family emergency, or other adverse and unforeseen situations that prevent an individual from participating in and/or attending the training, the individual training registration will be considered a transfer and the initial fee will be applied to a future training conducted by WellSurgent.
Entities organizing trainings or paying on behalf of multiple individuals (more than 2) are governed by our Group Refund Policy.
Published Materials
A participant may submit a refund request of published materials (books, manuals, etc.) purchased by WellSurgent on the participant’s behalf. This request must be made at least 10 calendar days prior to the first scheduled training session in which the published materials are required. The published materials must be returned to WellSurgent for inspection and a 75% refund will be issued if the materials are in at least satisfactory condition or better.
If the refund request is made less than 10 calendar days before a training but more than 5 calendar days before a training, then WellSurgent will issue a 50% refund upon arrival and inspection of published materials in at least satisfactory condition or better.
